Collaborative writing

Children can read stories they have written, stories written by other children, and stories written by us.
Children can write their own stories, linking up with other children in producing fantastic three-part stories.

WHAT IS A TOPIC SENTENCE?Have your students practice those all-important topic sentences with this activity. They will take a passage and circle the topic sentences, while underlining all sentences that do not belong in the paragraph.
